After a wonderful innings of 93, we are sad to announce that Michael Wallis died peacefully at home on 26th February.
Several UK police forces have issued public warnings during February 2026 about counterfeit £20 notes being used in everyday transactions, particularly in cash-heavy environments. While this isn’t specific to racecourses, on-course betting can present similar risks - especially on busy days.

You will no doubt have seen the various announcements regarding racecourse improvements to significantly benefit the Betfred Derby Festival and from other discussions you may be aware that the existing betting areas of Upper Tattenham (partially) and Lonsdale will be impacted as a result.

It is with great sadness that we must inform you that Chris Hudson is critically ill in hospital where he will leave shortly and begin to receive palliative care.
From the 1st March 2026 this will be £50 plus VAT = £60 per pitch.
Please be aware there is no longer a cap on this fee of £1,200.
All Bookmakers must make sure that the Card payment machine they are using blocks accepting Credit Card payments. As it is their responsibility not to accept payment for a bet placed with them from a Credit Card.
3,500 students shall be attending Chepstow on Sunday 15th March.
The students shall be in the Tattersalls enclosure only. General public will be in the Premier enclosure. The Bonanza Boy Marque will be hosting the Students.
