Update 05/10 - York will be hosting an Invades day with 9,000 students in attendance situated in the Clocktower enclosure, in addition a dedicated area will be created for approximately 1,500 customers.
Update 09/10 - York Racecourse Invades Saturday 10th October 2026 Clock Tower Bookmakers
It is exciting news that around 9,000 students will be attending the Knavesmire on Saturday.
Invades wristband obviously does allow them to cross over to grandstand and paddock enclosure if they so wish.
The plan is a picket fence will be put up to give Invades exclusive use of a large area of the Southern side of the enclosure.
The fence is likely to cross where pitch 8 is on the main line of bookmakers making this pitch redundant.
The first 7 bookmakers on the north side (bookmakers entrance side) will then service the @ 1,000 of the regular clock tower customers, there will be an additional bookmakers point to make up for the missing pitch 8 at the back side of the clock tower making it up to four placed with two either side of the clock tower steps for the students.
There are a lot of facilities, fairground, bar, and fast-food outlets at the southern far side of clock tower and obviously the other bookmakers will service those students.
