It is with the deepest sorrow that we must announce the passing of Doncaster Bookmaker Mr Alan Bennett, who died on Tuesday 09.09.25. On retirement from being a secondary school teacher he became a full time bookmaker and bet at every racecourse in Britain. Alan formed numerous friendships along the way, particularly in the Yorkshire area. He could also be seen at many Point to Point meets.
A very Generous, warm gentleman, who will be profoundly missed by many.
