On 4 July we host our annual Ladies Day. You may be aware that due to Premierisation our times have been much later over the past few years including one year when we moved it to our Sat June evening meeting. This year we are back to our usual date and time slot with doors opening at midday and first race at 2.11pm until 5.35pm. Due to the volume of customers on this date and the time they tend to arrive (final hour before 1st race) plus the government raising the terror alert rating to severe we have been forced to review our ingress policy on this date.
Our normal Owners and trainers car park C will become no vehicle movement area and a holding queue for customers from midday until the first race. From this time the majority of our customers will have arrived. This means we will be operating a one-way vehicle system from midday until the first race. There will be no access into the T junction area so all vehicles must enter via the main entrance by the roundabout. From there Owners and trainers will be directed into the top half of our main car park A. All other customers will be directed into the bottom half of A and directly into B. Once parked, all owners and trainers will have a separate speedy access lane into the usual owners door. For any arriving later than race 1 you should experience no change as Car Park C will then re-open. Jockeys will also gain access into the top half of car park A and be able to enter straight into gate 2 near the weighing room.
ALL BOOKMAKERS MUST SET UP EARLY AND REMOVE VEHICLES FROM THE COURSE NO LATER THAN 11.15AM. ALL VEHICLES WILL BE UNABLE TO ENTER PAST THE MAIN BLUE GATES NEXT TO THE T JUNCTION FROM 11.30AM. THIS MEANS BOOKMAKERS WILL HAVE A VERY LONG WALK SO PLEASE GET HERE VERY EARLY.
These changes will both improve public safety and ensure our equine areas are clear of queuing customers at all times. Thank you for your understanding and if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us.
