I am writing to inform you of an important development at Goodwood Racecourse that will affect operations within the Lennox Enclosure (Silver Ring) during the 2027 season.
As part of our long-term vision for the Racecourse and following the recently announced redevelopment plans, the Lennox Enclosure will be closed throughout the 2027 season to allow for a significant programme of improvement works.
We recognise the important role that our on-course bookmakers play in creating the unique atmosphere and experience enjoyed by racegoers, and we appreciate that this news may create uncertainty for those who traditionally operate within the Lennox Enclosure. We therefore wanted to notify you at the earliest opportunity so that you can begin planning accordingly.
The temporary closure will enable us to deliver a substantial transformation of the Lennox Enclosure, creating enhanced facilities and an improved experience for racegoers, customers and stakeholders alike.
While the enclosure will be unavailable during 2027, we are excited that it will return in 2028 as a significantly enhanced offering, providing a bigger and better environment for future generations of On behalf of everyone at Goodwood, I would like to thank you for your continued support and valued contribution to our race days.
