2027 and 2028 already are shaping up to be very exciting times at Ffos Las Racecourse in West Wales, with the planned launch of new themed race days in our fixture list such as reintroducing Spring Ladies Day on Sunday 11th April, plus two £1 race nights in July and the first ever “Ffos Rocks” Race night in August.
These new platforms will help us build on the successes of 2026’s “Free Race Night” with over 2,000 racegoers, plus the busiest Ladies Day post COVID last August with over 7,000 racegoers and a very successful Family Fun Day. Our aim is to be bigger and better in the years ahead, and appreciate that our on-going working relationship plays a very important part in that future.

Invitation to bid for betting positions at Ffos Las Racecourse for a two year period
This notice sets out the bidding process to determine which bookmakers will be permitted to operate from betting positions in betting areas at Ffos Las Racecourse for the two-year period 2027 & 2028.
The Bookmaker Number for 2027/28 List Positions will remain at 14. These positions will be made available via the RBC online auction process starting on 28th September – lowest numbers first. All bids will be deemed to be inclusive of VAT and are binding.
Reserves will be set for each betting position as follows: List Position (LP) LP1 £13,500 ; LP2 £12,500; LP3 £9,500; LP4 £7,000; LP5 £5,000; LP6 £5,000; LP7 £4,500; LP8 £4,200; LP9 £4,000; LP 10 £3,000; LP 11 £2,600; LP12 £2,600; LP 13 £2,600; LP 14 £2,600.
Individual bookmakers (or an individual company) may bid for up to two betting positions. The final List of Bookmakers will be published week commencing 12th October 2026.
Payment from winning bidders must be made to RBC together with a £60 (£50+VAT) Transfer Registration Fee, at the latest by 14th October 2026. Should a reserve price not be achieved, FL reserve the right to accept winning underbids and/or negotiate with winning underbidders, or to re-offer any unsold betting positions at a later date.
The two year (2027/28) Licence Fee for each List Position shall be equivalent to the highest bid. In addition to the Annual Licence Fee will be a Daily Betting Badge fee equivalent to 5 times the daily public admission price (6 x on Festival Racedays), and a Daily Administration Fee (RBC fee). The DBB includes entry for the bookmaker and up to two members of their staff (additional members of staff must purchase an admission ticket). Bookmakers may purchase a Ffos Las Annual Members Badge. If a bookmaker holds such the applicable FL DBB multiple shall be reduced by 1 x. An ARC Member’s Badge for any other track will not provide any discount on the DBB cost at FL.
Any one bookmaker, or any one company, may have a maximum of two betting positions on the 2027/28 Ffos Las Bookmakers List.
On Festival Racedays (those racedays where the racecourse management reasonably expects there to be a total public admission in excess of 3000), at the sole discretion of the racecourse, it may elect to increase the Bookmaker Number. Additional betting positions will be made available at a fixed price (£250 plus cost of DBB per position to bookmakers on the FL Bookmaker’s List). Each bookmaker on the 2027/28 Ffos Las Bookmakers List may apply for a maximum of one additional Festival Raceday daily betting position, per position held on the list.
During the period, each year the racecourse will stage a free public entrance raceday ‘sponsored by the on-course bookmakers’ at no additional cost to the 2027/28 List position holders.
The Licence & Special Conditions E, contain the terms & conditions for bookmakers operating a betting position at Ffos Las. You will not be permitted to operate at a betting position without signing and returning said licence in advance.
