FORMAL NOTICE – TEMPORARY BETTING RING ARRANGEMENTS
BETFRED ST LEGER DAY – SATURDAY 12 SEPTEMBER 2026
Doncaster Racecourse gives formal notice that, due to the exceptional operational requirements associated with the 250th running of the St Leger Stakes, temporary alterations will be made to certain betting ring arrangements for Saturday 12 September 2026 only.
Following consultation with the Betting Ring Manager and representatives of the bookmakers, Doncaster Racecourse has agreed that, for this fixture only, affected Tatts & Silver (Picnic ) bookmakers will be accommodated on a one-for-one (1:1) basis within the specifically designated alternative betting ring/area, this is part of the extended grandstand be for St Leger Day.
St Leger Day 2026 Extended Tatts/Picnic Arrangements
20 positions will be available in Picnic with 2 rows of 6 in the main betting ring and 4 positions added to each row on the grass which will be marked, in addition for logistical reasons bookmakers will trade facing the racecourse, 8 positions in the centre of the course serving hospitality as per normal and 4 positions in the extended alternate area using 1:1 Tatts & Picnic ( Silver ) in total 32 positions.
Extended Tatts/Alternate betting area (normally Silver ring ) will trade on the second line from pitches 3-10 with 8 positions available using the Tatts & Silver lists.
The designated number for the Picnic/Silver enclosure will be reduced to 32 (20+8+4 ) due to logistical and health and safety reasons.
Picnic ( Silver ring ) bookmakers wishing to trade in the extended alternate betting area MUST BE PRESENT AT 2HRS PITCH IN FOR TATTS WHICH WILL BE ADJACENT TO THE BETTING RING MANAGERS OFFICE.
Bookmakers trading in Picnic enclosure pitch in time 90 mins.
Picnic bookmakers who trade in the alternate area will be expected to pay the Tatts betting badge price.
