Showcase October Meeting change to Traffic Plan due to Evesham Road Northbound Closure
With the ongoing Gloucestershire County Council cycleway roadworks around the racecourse, the following changes will be in place to the normal routes and traffic infrastructure for the upcoming October Showcase race meeting. The major impacts on the racecourse are:
- The closure of the Northbound carriageway from the racecourse roundabout to the Hyde Lights junction
- At the junction between Hyde Lane/ Southam Lane and Evesham Road the set of traffic lights will not be in operation and has been replaced by a temporary mini roundabout.
The change to the routes for racegoers are as follows:
Yellow & Blue Route will not be able to enter the racecourse from the northbound carriageway to Gate P7; therefore yellow and blue label holders will be diverted from the racecourse roundabout. The diverted route will take them through Swindon Lane onto Wymans Lane and then onto Hyde Lane. They will be able to turn right at the mini roundabout into Evesham Road and then enter the racecourse through P7. During egress only a left turn will be permitted from P7 due to the lane closure.
Red label holders will follow the same diversion but will be directed across the mini roundabout and onto P11 from Southam Lane
Green Car Park Contingency (weather permitting).
From 9am on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th October any vehicle will be allowed to park in Green 3 (west), that is public, and any labels if they do not want to take the longer diversion route around to P7 or P11.
