Position - Racecourse On-Course Support (Field based)
• Permanent/full time (subject to a 6-month probation) • Salary to be confirmed • Location – North Midlands
We are looking for an ideal candidate who has/can:
• Excellent customer service skills
• Computer literate
• Works well under pressure
• Money handling
• Ability to work alone and in a team
• Good problem solving, organisation and literacy skills
• Prepared for weekend work and overnight stays
• Smart and presentable appearance
• Physically fit due to the demands of role
• Clean driving licence
• Prepared to undertake Industry relevant training
Desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of computer networks (wired and wireless)
• An understanding of horseracing/betting industry
• An understanding of 3rd party software installations and configuration
• Manual handling at work qualification
• Basic first aid
Summary of duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivery of equipment to site in a timely manner, erecting and configuring of the RDT network to suit the environment. In addition to this you will assist the network users throughout the day with any hardware/software/connection issues they may incur before dismantling the network after racing.
